As Covid-19 and its restrictions moved into the cemetery communities of East Java this past year, the felt presence of God came too. When suffering comes close, God moves in even closer. And it seems, more often than not, he comes dressed in human flesh. Lately, he has come looking a lot like you.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, your prayers and resources have provided a myriad of vital services and a whole lot of hope for families that have been historically passed over by government help and aid groups in their community.

Thank you for helping:

• Educate parents about Covid-19 and protocols to keep their families safe
• Provide basic medical care such as vitamins and Covid tests
• Distribute food to struggling and starving households
• Offer laptop use for children to attend school online
• Engage families through regular in-person home visits

When schools and CF centers closed and children in the community were no longer able to gather, CF staff sought them out one-by-one with food, coloring books, and birthday presents.

It matters that not one is forgotten. It’s personal to God.

The ripple effects of Covid-19 continue to domino through the most vulnerable communities. Surely there is an end in sight, but for our friends in the cemeteries there’s no sign of that quite yet.

We were honored to host a call this past on Tuesday night during which we heard from some of our incredible staff in Indonesia. We learned about the ways that the day to day operations have been impacted, and also heard how your faithful support has enabled them to continue to serve even through the difficulties.

We also shared three special opportunities for you to join us in encouraging and supporting our staff and helping meet some very practical needs.
