Family Camp 2018

Dancing.

Tie-dying.

Confiding.

Singing.

Storytelling.

Swimming.

Water-sliding.

Laughing.

Lots and lots of laughing.

Some days are unforgettable.

65 families

from our beloved cemetery community participated in Compassion First’s fourth annual family camp in East Java.

Everyone joined in…wide-eyed toddlers, cool teens, grandmothers in wheelchairs, 71 excited children, mothers and fathers, friends from the US, cemetery staff, and 30 Indonesian volunteers.

We took over a nearby popular amusement park for age-specific workshops.

Through games, activities, crafts, and discussions, each group focused on aspects of God’s love and ways to show love in their own families.

After lunch…

We played.

And played.

And played.

Some days are unforgettable. Family Camp 2018 was one of those days.

What a joy it is to do this life together!
