And I will give you treasure hidden in the darkness- secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name. Isaiah 45:3

There are treasures in the darkness. Treasures that dissolve as the sun rises again. And the sun WILL rise again. Daylight IS coming but what until it does?

We will not fear uncertainty nor let it leave us empty-handed.

The cemeteries have taught us this; darkness and beauty co-exist. Hardship is holy ground and sacred things happen there. Sacred things are happening everywhere.

It’s in times like these, hidden treasures are unearthed and generously dispersed. God’s intention is to give, not take away. There are riches in the waiting before it turns to day.

We’ll find what we have eyes to see. Lord, you are the treasure that we seek.

As a staff we’ve begun daily check-ins recounting treasures that we’ve found. An encouraging phone call, unexpected provisions, good news from the field, the privilege of praying for you, toilet paper, a belly laugh, peace.

A hunt for holy treasure, if you will.
