Compassion First employs an international team of staff members, indigenous to each area, filling a spectrum of professional roles including an executive and administrative team, care providers, social workers, case managers, educators, house mothers, and security professionals. For security purposes, expatriate and national staff member names are not listed.

Aaron Thompson
Board Member – Lead Pastor at Marysville Foursquare Church. He has served Compassion First as a board member since 2022.

Tracy Grimm
Board Secretary – Washington County District Attorney’s Office. She has served Compassion First as a board member since 2021.

Jena Andres
Board Member – Brand Architect at Gloo. She has served Compassion First as a board member since 2017.

Cody Cupper
Board Member – Concept Director at Nike, Inc.  He has served Compassion First as a board member since 2019.

Greg Kaufer
Board Member – Greg is the Owner of Plumbline Drywall.  He has served Compassion First as a board member since 2019.

Greg Whitaker
Board Member – Co-Owner of Whitaker/Ellis Builders, Inc. He has served Compassion First as a board member from 2008 to 2016 and returned to the board in 2018.

Lonnie Sproat
Board Chair – Retired Vice President of Operations for Farmers Insurance. He has served Compassion First as a board member since 2013.

Shane Dwyer
Treasurer – Shane Dwyer is the Controller at Modo, Inc. He has been involved with Compassion First since it’s earliest days, and he has served as Treasurer since 2011.

Mike Mercer
President/CEO – The Founder and President of Compassion First. He has served as a board member since the organization’s inception in 2007.
